Recap

"And they like to wonder where I have been, protecting my soul in the valley of silence"

So I finished my first semester in May, got my results and I did well. You do not know the relief I get from saying that, the last quarter had me in a chokehold. I was sure I was going to fail DE and Programming. The funny thing is, the culprit nearly became Ethics. Enough of that though, here we don't talk about Uni.

So what have I been up to? Well, GitHub has a student pack filled with a number of perks or should I say resources granted to students to help them learn. One word to describe it? Good. So I went through everything that has been available to me and I settled on Scrimba.

Why Scrimba? because it had courses on JS and it was a month so I figured I use it to learn the basics before the subscription ended.

"But Boitumelo you like Python, why are you suddenly learning JS". Glad you asked! See I like money, and the easiest way to make money is web dev and for that I need JS, well I could just use Django, but I also want to know more than one language. So JS it is.

Now at first, I was skeptical, scared to be exact. A new language, I was going to die. I was wrong, coming from Python to Javascript, which are both OOP languages most of the concepts and syntax made sense. So I have been okay, I learnt HTML and CSS too. Make my own website, it's very ugly but don't mind that. Work in progress.

So on Srimba I learnt a couple things.
